You can, but you will need to feed regularly with a balanced nutrient solution. Most home gardeners get better results mixing 60–70% cocopeat with compost and a little vermicompost.
How often do I water a cocopeat pot?
More often than soil, because it drains freely and holds less total volume. In Punjab summers, small terrace pots may need water twice a day.
Does cocopeat attract termites?
Washed coir does not. Keep it off damp wooden surfaces and store dry, and it will not create the conditions termites look for.
