Applications
Nurseries and polyhouse seedling raising
Uniform blocks, consistent fill, and a medium that does not swing.
A nursery sells one thing above all: predictability. If trays dry unevenly or a batch of coir arrives with high salts, germination rates drop and the loss shows up weeks later in a customer's field.
Cocopeat is well suited to seedling raising because it holds moisture evenly and has good air-filled porosity at the root. The variable is the source, not the material — washed, graded coir behaves very differently from coarse, salty coir.
FAQ
Which product should a nursery start with?
Standard washed blocks are the usual starting point. Mix in screened vermicompost for potting mixes — around one part vermicompost to four parts hydrated coir.
