FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most often about cocopeat, pricing, delivery and quality.

What exactly is cocopeat?

Cocopeat is the fine material left after coconut husk fibre is extracted. It is washed, dried and compressed into blocks. It holds water well, drains freely and provides good air to roots, which is why it is used as a growing medium and soil conditioner.

Is cocopeat the same as coco coir?

In everyday use, yes. Technically coco coir is the whole fibre product and cocopeat is the finer pith portion. The blocks we sell are the pith grade used for growing.

How much does a 5 kg block expand to?

Roughly 70–75 litres of loose coir, using about 18–20 litres of water. A 650 g block makes about 9–10 litres.

Do you deliver across Punjab?

Yes. Next-day delivery across the Malwa belt — Kotkapura, Faridkot, Bathinda, Moga and Sri Muktsar Sahib — and two to three working days for the rest of Punjab. Freight is quoted per order.

What is the minimum order?

Retail packs start at one block, one 5-bag pack or 5 kg of vermicompost. Collection in Kotkapura has no strict minimum. For trade rates, cocopeat starts at 50 blocks, grow bags at 50 bags, and vermicompost at 100 kg because it is produced to order.

Do you publish EC and pH?

Yes. Typical values are listed on each product page, and you can ask for the batch sheet for the stock you are receiving. We would rather you checked than guessed.

Is cocopeat organic?

Cocopeat itself is a natural plant material. Whether your operation can be certified organic depends on the full input chain, not on the medium alone. Ask us what has been applied to our product and we will tell you what we know.

Can cocopeat be reused?

Yes, for a second short crop, provided it is sterilised and the structure is still intact. For long-season crops, fresh medium gives more predictable results and fewer disease problems.

Do you sell grow bags with plants already in them?

No. We sell empty HDPE grow bags and the growing medium separately. You fill, plant and manage the crop, or work with your own agronomist.

How do I pay?

Payment terms are confirmed on the quotation. For regular buyers we can agree a schedule. We do not take online card payments on this site.

Can I visit before ordering?

Yes. We are at 2, Bansal Street, Gurdwara Bazar, Kotkapura. Call ahead so someone is free to show you the stock.

Do you supply outside Punjab?

For bulk orders, yes — tell us the destination and volume and we will quote freight. Regular delivery is focused on Punjab.

Still unsure? Call us and describe the crop — we will tell you honestly whether cocopeat is the right medium for it.

Need a price for your quantity?

Send your requirement and we will reply with a rate, the current batch specification and the earliest delivery date.
